Q: Will my skin change when switching to Antipodes?

A: Your skin will love you for making the change to Antipodes! We receive a huge number of accolades from happy clients the world over who have found their skin has improved dramatically since using our beauty brand. Be aware that spots or breakouts may occur when making the transition to natural products, or when changing brands. Skin may look or feel different while adjusting to premium natural ingredients and undergoing the necessary detoxification process. These effects usually subside within a short period of time - to reveal skin in its best-ever natural state!

Q: How can I try before I buy?

A: We supply testers across the range in our retail outlets so you can experience our products before you purchase, as we do not offer refunds or exchanges for dislike of fragrance or texture. Please remember that patch testing is required before using any product, as indicated on our labels.

Q: I've noticed slight variations in your product formulations - why?

A: As nature is constantly in flux, you may notice minor changes to products between batches. These are caused by seasonal and other fluctuations in our raw ingredients from nature, so you can take these variations as a positive sign of our commitment to using only pure, non-refined ingredients.

Q: I have really sensitive skin. Will Antipodes be good skincare for me?

A: The short answer is yes - perfect! There are several Antipodes products dermatologically approved for sensitive skin. And the longer answer is that it's important to correctly identify whether you have genuinely sensitive skin, or rather sensitised skin. Sensitive skin has a genetic basis, usually occurs in fair skin and features a proneness to redness, facial flushing, itchiness and allergies. By contrast, sensitised skin also results in stinging and itchiness, but is a result of overexposure to various cosmetics, environmental aggressors or a bad diet. It occurs at deeper levels of the dermis, and can be managed by a diet containing essential fats and using beauty products that help improve and increase the skin's natural barrier, thereby increasing and balancing sebum production.

Q: Why is natural sun protection best?

A: Natural SPF refers to using inorganic ultraviolet absorbers like zinc oxide and titanium dioxide. These convert ultraviolet radiation into less damaging infrared radiation. Products with these mineral-based filters usually have a maximum SPF of 15 and are considered more natural, milder and safer to use, especially for sensitive skin. Antipodes® uses raspberry oil to filter skin-damaging UVA and a natural sun filter called Soloveil – which is zinc dispersed in a natural derivative of coconut – to block UVB.

Immortal SPF15 Natural Sun Protection Face & Body Moisturizer

Q: I can’t seem to rub this product into my skin. It's leaving a white residue.

A: This is easily fixed; simply pump Immortal directly into the palms of your hands and rub to warm before applying to your skin. Immortal contains a natural SPF, which does have a natural tendency to thicken slightly at times and appear as if the product has separated. Warming as directed rectifies this.

Hallelujah Lime & Patchouli Cleanser

Q: I can’t get the last of my Hallelujah Lime & Patchouli Cleanser out of the bottle when it becomes low. Is my pump broken?

A: This product is a beautiful creamy and rich formulation loved by thousands. It’s not a liquid or a milk like many cleansers, and its viscosity makes it highly effective for removing makeup. Therefore the last few millilitres of product may require a little more love to remove from the bottle. This is easily solved by simply adding a small amount of water to the bottle, returning the lid to the bottle and shaking. This will lighten the weight of the product, and the pump will be able to disperse the product again. Repeat if necessary.

Resurrect Clarifying Facial Toner

Q: My toner makes my face feel too wet - I have to wipe it off with a cotton pad or tissue.

A: This means that the toner is being sprayed too close to your face. We recommend holding it 30cm away to spritz a fine mist towards your face. This will allow the product to completely absorb into your skin, with no need to wipe extra product away.

Avocado Oil & Rosehip: Divine Face Oil

Q: Is Divine Face Oil suitable for oily skins?

A: Definitely! All our products are ideal for oily skin conditions because we use premium pure plant oils, and plant oils help balance and regulate your skin's own natural oil (or sebaceous) production.
