Happy Cappuccino Day! In this blog we trace back the origins of the world-famous Cappuccino and share some fun facts, and of course we couldn't celebrate without sharing our delicious recipe with you for a Locako Keto Collagen Cappuccino that we know you’ll just love.

The Cappuccino is believed to have been first invented in Italy with the first recorded reference appearing in the 1930s. Did you know it’s believed the word comes from ‘cappuccio’ from the first part of Dante’s Divine Comedy, Inferno? It was used by the poet to describe a group of reformist friars who opted to cover themselves from head-to-toe in brown fabric. It is from this that the word cappuccino originates as the espresso is served ‘cloaked’ in milk.

This drink has become so popular it’s now consumed all over the world and now even has its own day (which we agree is a great idea). A recent survey ranked Cappuccino as the:

“second most popular way Brits enjoy their coffee after latte”

and “one in six Brits think they are funnier and wittier when they are fuelled up on coffee.”

Plus 31% thinking they are able to work harder…and with that said I think we should get into the recipe.

The amazing thing about Locako Coffee Creamers is that you can now enjoy your Cappuccino with added health benefits, made with base of coconut milk and enriched with MCT oil and grass-fed collagen, whether you’re on a full keto diet or just health conscious, they are an excellent supplement for strengthening skin, hair and nails and will even promote gut health. What's more they will keep you fuller for longer helping you stay away from any sugar cravings.
