Founded in 1989, Klamath Blue Green Algae® has provided the highest quality of Wild Harvested and Certified Organic Algae from the Pristine Upper Klamath Lake in Southern Oregon, USA. Located 4.100 feet above sea level far from potential contamination sources, Upper Klamath Lake obtains tons of mineral rich volcanic soil washed from precipitation that falls on Southern Oregon’s Cascade Mountains. This highly mineralised alkaline environment coupled with clean air and high intensity sunlight make a unique eco-system for the growth of nutrient dense algae. Once harvested, screened and refrigerated, Klamath Blue Green Algae undergoes a cool drying process to both retain its nutrient integrity but also to concentrate its natural goodness by up to 20 times. An independent laboratory tests individual batches of the cool dried algae. The Oregon Department of Agriculture provides spontaneous sampling to further ensure all the products meet the standards of food hygiene, which is also approved of in the UK.
